Hi, I’m Florese—the heart behind Koko Doula Company. My passion for birth work began long before I ever held a title. I’ve always been drawn to nurturing, advocating, and creating safe spaces for women during some of the most transformative moments of their lives. Becoming a doula simply put a name to the calling that already lived in me.
Supporting families—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—is where I feel most aligned. I believe birth is powerful, sacred, and uniquely personal. My role is to walk beside you with compassion, encouragement, and evidence-based guidance so you feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
I serve with a heart for community, especially for mothers who often feel overlooked or unsure of where to find support. My mission is to make quality doula care accessible, empowering, and rooted in genuine connection.

Why I Became a Doula: A few years ago, I witnessed the power of compassionate, continuous support during birth. That inspired me to walk beside families as they navigate one of life’s most transformative moments.
What I Do: Whether through soothing massage, reflection tools, or being a steady presence during delivery, I strive to nurture your strength and honor your unique journey.
Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season are some of the most transformative moments in a woman’s life. They can also bring uncertainty, vulnerability, and the need for meaningful support. I am dedicated to ensuring that no family has to navigate these seasons alone.
I am a Kansas City-based birth worker, proud mother of a teenage son, and devoted cat mom who is passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. As a trained prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula, I provide compassionate, evidence-informed care that empowers families to feel confident, supported, and cared for throughout their journey.
In addition to my doula training, I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Instructor and Licensed Cosmetologist. I am also the creator of the signature Head to Heart Upper Body Scalp Massage, a nurturing experience designed to calm the nervous system, encourage relaxation, and help clients reconnect with their bodies during times of transition.
I believe that every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and held. My approach centers on creating safe, authentic spaces where families can experience support, connection, and encouragement during some of life’s most sacred and challenging moments.
