Postpartum Doula – Virtual & In-Person

KoKo Doula Company is growing, and we are looking for compassionate, dependable, and family-centered Postpartum Doulas to join our team.

Our postpartum doulas provide nurturing, non-medical support to families as they adjust to life with a new baby. We are seeking doulas who understand that postpartum care is about caring for the entire family—supporting recovery, encouraging rest, building confidence, and helping families feel supported during one of life's biggest transitions.

Responsibilities

Postpartum Doula services may include:

  • Providing emotional and physical postpartum support

  • Supporting parents during postpartum recovery

  • Newborn care education and guidance

  • Helping families establish healthy routines

  • Breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and infant-feeding support within your scope of practice

  • Providing opportunities for parents to rest, shower, eat, or attend to personal needs

  • Light household support related to postpartum recovery and newborn care

  • Providing evidence-based education and community resources

  • Virtual postpartum check-ins, education, and emotional support

  • Recognizing concerns that require referral to an appropriate healthcare or community professional

  • Completing required client documentation in a timely manner

Qualifications

Applicants should:

  • Have completed postpartum doula training or possess relevant postpartum support experience

  • Have a passion for supporting birthing people, babies, and families

  • Be professional, compassionate, dependable, and respectful

  • Be comfortable working independently with families

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality

  • Be willing to complete KoKo Doula Company onboarding and documentation requirements

  • Maintain current CPR certification as required

  • Have reliable transportation for in-person assignments

Medicaid Credentialing Requirement

Applicants must already be credentialed with Medicaid or be willing and eligible to complete the Medicaid credentialing process.

Because KoKo Doula Company serves Medicaid families, participating doulas must complete all required credentialing and compliance steps before accepting applicable Medicaid-funded assignments.

Flexible Scheduling

We understand that many doulas balance birth work, family, school, other employment, or their own businesses.

You create your availability.

Choose the days and times you are available to provide postpartum support. Opportunities may include daytime, evening, weekend, virtual, and in-person support based on client needs and availability.
